The KY-021 Magnet Switch, also called Mini Magnet Reed Module Sensor, is an electronic component used to detect the proximity of magnetic fields. It consists of a reed contact mounted in a small housing and an integrated circuit that monitors the reed contact. The reed contact consists of two metal sheets enclosed in a glass tube. When a magnetic field is present near the reed contact, the metal sheets are attracted and touch, making electrical contact.
